This 1 day course is delivered remotely (Microsoft Teams) with flexible dates able to accommodate time zones required for the international clients.
The aim of this training course is to provide the candidate with sufficient knowledge and understanding of the risks associated with working on or near electrical systems; including:

Safety Rules Training
Modules 1-4
Our Safety Rules Training courses consist of four modules ran in person from our conference facilities in Ferrybridge (dates below), or at a clients preferred location (contact us for dates). Ran by hugely experienced power industry SAPs the courses are designed to guide delegates through the safety rules allowing them to finish the modules fully prepared for a HV SAP authorisation panel.
Module 1 - 8th-11th January 2024 & 20th-23rd May 2024
Module 2 - 19th-22nd February 2024 & 1st-4th July 2024
Module 3 - 30th October - 2nd November 2023, 8th-11th April 2024 & 19th-22nd August 2024
Module 4 - 11th-12th December 2023 , 13th-14th May 2024 & 30th September 2024-1st October 2024

Safety Rules - Module 1
This four-day course module introduces the Safety Rules and procedures for applying them including the associated documents and responsibilities. This course is for anybody wishing to understand the Safety Rules, how they are applied as part of a Safe System of Work and would form the first week of a series of training for SAPs. Delegates would become familiar with preparation and issue of safety documents and undertake an assessment to measure their progress.
Safety Rules - Module 2
This four-day course module covers Safety Rules, Plant and Low Voltage Apparatus. This course is for prospective SAP's seeking Authorisation for work or testing Plant and LV Apparatus and looks at the procedures detailing how the Safety Rules are applied to Plant and LV Apparatus. Delegates would have further training on the safety rules and prepare documents for work on plant and LV apparatus as well as undertaking an assessment to measure their progress.
Safety Rules - Module 3
This four-day course module and covers Safety Rules and High Voltage Apparatus. This course is for prospective SAP's seeking Authorisation for work or testing on HV Apparatus and looks at the procedures detailing how the Safety Rules are applied to HV Apparatus. Delegates would have further training on the safety rules and prepare documents for work and testing on HV apparatus as well as undertaking an assessment to measure their progress.
Safety Rules - Module 4
This is a two-day course module recapping all the elements of the Safety Rules, Plant, Low Voltage and High Voltage Apparatus. This module is designed for SAPs as the final preparations prior to an Authorisation panel interview or for existing SAPs to periodically refresh their knowledge. During the course delegates will complete 2 assessments with results shared with the companies authorisation officer.
